ReviewReviewReviewNaga Bonar Jadi 2Apr 17, '07 11:17 PM
for everyone
Category:Movies
Genre: Comedy
Akhir pekan minggu lalu tanggal 14 April gue pergi bareng kekasih gelap (heheheh..no she's my best friend - Ratih) ke Blitz megaplex di Grand Indonesia.

Adegan terakhir hampir membuat gue menangis...

AWWWWW...Nyebelin...

Overall...Highly recommended deh!

Last friday my boss asked me to flick the indian movie at MPX Grande. As a newbie, i couldn't say no. It's not that i don't like flicking at cinema, but most indian movies take 3 hours long and the movie started at 9 PM. So, can you imagine, after worked so hard for the whole day, I still have to spend 3 hours sitting and watching film. Plus it's indian film! I don't really into those indian film. In my entire life, I never flicked the indian movies at cinema, always at home via national wide tv station. So this was more like an assignment than an invitation to flick indian film.....

I was wrong...I was totally wrong ...
Rang de Basanti which means A Generation Awakens, was abruptly changed my opinion. I was thrilled for nearly 3 hours.

The story of film- impressively written by Kamlesh Pandey - is about the youth today in India.
The scene commenced with the arrival of young London based film - marker (Sue) chances upon the diaries of her grandfather, who served in the British police in India during the freedom struggle. So, she plans to shoot a film on the indian revolutionaries mentioned in this diaries. She comes down to Delhi, and cast a group of five friends to play the pivotal roles of these revolutionaries, who at first reluctantly joined the film production.

The five friends (DeelJet, Ashlam, Karan, Sonia, Sukhi) of Sue began to like their character on film. Back then they were an ignorant youth. It all changed after the death of Sonia fiancee - Ajay (PILOT) on a plane crash. The suspect was pointed to defense minister, who responsible for the procurement of the air force plane. This minister bought an used plane instead of new plane. They were so angry at the fact that the minister blamed on Ajaj for the incident. So they plan to assassin the defense minister. It turned out that this case involved Karan's father.

By the time they successfully committed assassination of the defense minister, things went out of control. The result: The truth has led everybody to the patriotic spirit yet sadly time has departed to those five young guns...

There was two philosophical thoughts I got out of this film:
#1
"THERE ARE TWO PRIMARY CHOICES IN LIFE -
TO ACCEPT CONDITIONS AS THEY EXIST OR ACCEPT RESPONSIBILITY FOR CHANGING THEM"
#2
THERE ARE TWO KINDS OF DEAD PEOPLE,
ONE WHO DIED IN FEAR CAUSE HE CAN"T DEFEND THE TRUTH,
AND THE OTHER ONE WHO DIED IN PEACE CAUSE HE CAN DEFEND THE TRUTH....

This film is surely recommended!!!!
It's genuinely inspirational.
